Summer Time!!!
I'm so glad Mommy is home for the rest of the summer! But, I'm also sad that I won't get to spend as much time with my Aunt Bess. She did such a great job taking care of me. But, it's okay...I'll still see her a lot this summer and we can still have fun.
Today, I had a special treat because Aunt Bess and Aunt Colleen stayed with me while Mommy was at work.
Here's some more pictures of me from the past couple of days.
This was my first time in my Bumbo seat. I was MAD. I made my back stiff and screamed as loud as I could so they would have to take me out. It worked, but not until they had taken a picture of me. Grr.
Well, I decided maybe I had overreacted last night when I sat in the Bumbo for the first time, so I tried it again today. I liked it a lot more. Don't I look cute sitting up like a big girl?!
This is a picture of me in my awesome froggy overalls. One of Mommy's students gave me this outfit. She loves frogs, so she wanted me to have some frogs to wear. I remember when I first got these overalls, I thought they were HUGE! I thought I would not fit in them for like 6 months. But, since I've been growing so much they fit already! I'm so excited to have such a cute outfit to wear.
Here's some more pictures of me from the past couple of days.

The Park!
We went to the park yesterday!
As you can see, we had loads of fun. First we went on a very, very, very long walk. I got so tired of riding in my stroller that I made Mommy and Daddy take me out and carry me in the baby carrier. Then, we went on the swings. I had never seen one of those things before, but it was fun!
We also sat in the little choo-choo train and posed for pictures. I watched the other kids play for a while (it seemed like there were hundreds of kids there!). And, then it was getting kinda dark, so we went home. I really enjoyed my first trip to the park!

Aunt Colleen is a Graduate!!!
Saturday was Aunt Colleen's graduation! Mommy and Daddy went to see her graduate while I had some uninterrupted Honey time. After the graduation ceremony we went out to celebrate at the Cherokee Cattle Company.
While Aunt Colleen opened gifts and cards...
But, eventually I woke up and graced everyone with my presence :)

More Talking
Notice how I was getting upset at first...until I noticed the camera was on me. Then I started talking. Also in this video you can see my cough-laugh (sort of) and a little squealing fun. I'm so happy!
I love my Aunt Bess!

Two Month Check-Up
Last Thursday I went to the doctor for my 2-month check up. I did such a good job! They weighed me and poked me and looked all over me, and then ... I had to get FOUR shots!! I hardly cried at all. I found out that I'm a big girl - I weigh 13 pounds (92nd percentile); I am 23.5 inches long (86th percentile); and, my head is 15.75 inches (78th percentile). I have grown so much since I was born. Back then I was only 7 pounds, 11 ounces, 19 inches long, and I don't know how big my head was. :) My doctor was so nice too! It was a different guy this time, because we switched to a new doctor's office and I liked it very much there. They played movies in the waiting room and in the patient rooms, and everything was so new and nice looking. I go back in July ... I wonder how much I'll grow between now and then!
Things My Mommy Loves
My mommy loves:
- when I smile
- my little "cough-laugh"
- the expressions I make with my face
- the way I pump my right leg when I'm "working"
- the little sighs when I'm eating/sleeping
- my soft skin
- giving me a bath
- when I accidentally grab her finger/thumb and then don't let go
- the way I talk to my toys/parents/the fan/the air
- taking me on walks around the neighborhood
- seeing me when she comes in from work
- when I sleep on her chest or in her arms
I like to talk to butterflies!
I like to talk to my butterflies (also the flower). I tell them all my problems. They have not talked back to me yet, but they sure are good listeners. :)

Two Months Old!
I'm 2 months old today! It's been another busy month...mostly a lot of the same stuff I stayed busy with the first month, but also a few new things. This month (a couple weeks ago) my mommy had to go back to work. That has been the biggest change in my little life. Other than that, I have been working on tummy time, getting my neck nice and strong so I can sit up and see what's going on around me in the world. I've also started drooling a LOT! It's my new favorite thing...I love blowing little tiny spit bubbles which then end up all over whatever I am wearing, so now my mommy and daddy make me wear a bib. I guess they don't like the soggy wet clothes as much as I do. Speaking of clothes, I am growing so fast and big that I have a ton of clothes that don't fit me anymore! All my newborn clothes are way too little now (yes the same ones that I was just swimming in just a few short weeks ago). And I've even outgrown some of my 0-3 month clothes!
My other new favorite thing to do is laughing! I just finally figured this out on May 9th, two days before my 2 month birthday! This is Mommy and Daddy's new favorite thing too! I'm still figuring out exactly how a laugh should sound. Sometimes it sounds like a little cough laugh. You think I'm coughing, but I'm laughing. My mommy thought I was just coughing the first time, but then every time they did that funny thing (Daddy was shaving and asking me if I wanted a little shave), I did the same exact little cough/laugh. Now I do it all the time. Especially when my mommy sings my new favorite songs to me while we're dancing ("K-a-t-i-e, C-u-t-i-e" is the name of one of the songs, the other is "You want me to keep singing"). I just laugh and laugh! Okay, I'm tired of blogging now, and I want Mommy to play with me, so I will leave you now with a few more pictures from this past month ...

Stop ..... Grammy Time!
So ... my mommy had to go back to work last week. We were both really sad because we really enjoyed our days together. But, she missed her students and was glad to see them again. And, I get to spend time with my Grammy! She stayed with me all last week, and then she left on Friday, which was sad. But I was so excited when I woke up on Monday because she came back again this week! And she told me she'll be here again next week!! I am such a lucky girl! I love when Grammy's here...we go on walks, sing songs, work on crossword puzzles together (I'm a big help!), sit on the porch, go for rides in the car, pace the floor, and bounce a lot.
Mommy only has 13 more days of school and then we can spend the whole summer together! But, for the next couple of weeks I am so happy to spend time with Grammy!
