Walker's House

Today I went to visit Walker and his mommy in Covington!  We had a fun day!

"Hello?  Walker?  Can I come over?  Okay, see you in a bit!"

Taking a break from playing to take a picture.

Walker showing me all his toys.

This was my favorite one of all Walker's toys.

We took a nice walk.  Walker helped push my stroller!

Elmo was telling us a riveting story!

I had a lot of fun.  I hope I get to see Walker again soon.  He's a great friend, and I can learn so much from him!

Cute Hair and the Duckie Tub!

Like the new hair-do?  I wore my hair like this to school earlier this week.  It was "Crazy Hair Day" but Mommy said that my hair actually ended up looking cute, not crazy!

I'm a happy girl!

Earlier this week, Daddy was cleaning out the laundry room where my bath duck has been living since I started taking my baths in the big tub.  He was going to put the duck away for future brothers or sisters I might have, but I talked him into letting me play with it for just a little while before saying goodbye.

I know you blow it up like this!  I'm so smart!

And before I go, let me leave you with this video of me not walking...  :)

Fishy food, Fishy Face

Last night I ate some goldfish.  They are so yummy!  I can't believe my mommy has made me wait so long to eat them, but after the cheerio incident(s) she was a little scared that I would choke, I think.  Anyway, I've had them now, and I did great!  No choking!  While eating them I practiced making my fishy face.

Here is a picture of me eating fishies and doing my fishy face impression:

As you can see I loved the goldfish ... heads.  I bit the heads off and saved the tails for Maggie.  Here are my leftovers:

I am including this next picture for two reasons.  1.  You can see my fish tails that I left behind on my food tray, and ...  2.  To share this news with you ... As you can see, I am trying to stick my whole hand in my mouth, and I am screaming in pain.  Why?  Well, there are 2 huge teeth (molars?) growing in up top.  This brings my tooth count to 10!!!  Can you believe it?  I just celebrated my 10 month birthday yesterday, and now I have 10 teeth!

10 Months Old Today!!!

Today is my ten month birthday!  It has been another busy month.  I have learned a lot of new stuff and had some very fun experiences in my tenth month!  I still love to read books.  Pulling them ALL off the shelf is almost as much fun as actually reading them.

I had my first Christmas this month.  I visited Augusta again to see Grammy and Grampa and also spent some time at Honey and Pop's house.  We visited Grandma Nonnie earlier in the month to celebrate Christmas, so I got to see everyone.  I got to spend two weeks home from school with Mommy and Daddy for Christmas break.  It was nice to stay up a little later and sleep in (yes, I let Mommy and Daddy sleep until almost 9:00 some of the days)!

I learned to drink out of a (training) sippy cup, and I am now taking my "bottles" to school in sippy cups instead.  I have also started eating a lot more solid foods.  I don't choke (as much) on the cheerios, and I have eaten mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, plain ole cheese, yogurt bites, and a few other things that I can't think of right now.  I still get a little overzealous sometimes and gag on the solid foods, so for lunch at school right now, I am sticking with the stage 3 foods.

I am still talking a lot, and some words that I have started saying this month are:
"shoe"
"shirt" (I'm still trying to get this one right...I just started saying it a couple days ago.  Mommy showed me her shirt in the morning before school.  Then I was saying it over and over again by the time I got to school.  By the time she picked me up from school Ms. Brittany told Mommy that I had been saying a bad word all day long!  I was accidentally leaving out the /r/ sound!)
"duck"
"dog" (I'm still saying it but it is more clear now)
"oohhh" (along with "whoaaa")
"Gaggie" (that is my name for Maggie)
"Datie" (my name for myself)
"Taaaa"  (as in ta-daa!)
That's all I can think of.  I repeat words that Mommy and Daddy say.  Usually they say it, then I whisper it back to them.  I understand a ton of words now.  When Mommy and Daddy ask me "Where is the ...?"  I look in the direction of that object.

I am a good hugger!  I hug people, Maggie, my dolls and stuffed animals, pretty much anything.  I squeeze them tight, and say "Mmmmmm-mmm!"  (in a squeezy, huggy voice)

Here are a BUNCH of pictures to tell you a little about this month:

I am still practicing the walking.  I pull up on everything and cruise around.

Here I am opening some presents during my first Christmas.  I love opening presents.  I said, "Whoaaa!" with each new thing I opened.

I learned to accessorize a little this month.  Here I am trying on a new necklace.  :)

I love dogs, as you already know.  Here I am playing with the pretend dog at Grandma Nonnie's house.

Bath time is still my favorite.  I got lots of new bath toys for Christmas, and have really enjoyed playing with them during bath time.

Here I am playing with one of my bath toys.  I learned this new trick this month where I put something in my mouth then put my hands out for Mommy to say, "Ta-daaa!"  I just love it.  It's so funny!

Playing the "Ta-daaa!" game with a pacifier.  Notice I have it in my mouth upside down.  I don't really know how these things work, but they are fun to play with.

Playing the "Ta-daa" game again in the car with a little bird toy.  I told you I loved this game!

I discovered that there are windows in my playroom this month.  I love to look outside to see if there are any dogs out there.  If the neighbors have their dogs outside, I stand at the window for a long time just watching and saying, "Dog...dog...dog."  Then I slap my hand on the window to get them to come here!  (Mommy taught me to slap the floor to get Maggie to come, so I try it all the time).

Here I am trying to go from the window to my piano.

... And here I am one second later ... falling.  Didn't quite make it, but give me a break!  At least I tried to let go for a second to turn around!  I'll get it soon enough.

Here I am giving my bear chair a hug.  You can't hear, but I was saying, "mmmm-mm" (my huggy sound).

I have been practicing my music a lot this month.  Here I am saying, "Don't watch me practicing...these are closed rehearsals"

Bet you can't do the crossover move like this!

"This song's for you, Mama!"

It's hard work getting all the settings just right to make such beautiful music!

Play the drum, everyone, play the drum!  (This is my drum-playing face.)

Standing at my bookshelf trying to find a good book to read.  (One shelf empty, two to go.)

Hmm, I think this is a good one...

Ah, yes, one of my favorites.

I make noises when I read.  They aren't really real words, but it's like I'm reading each page.  I also turn the pages from front to back (or sometimes back to front) one by one, just like you're supposed to do when you read!

I LOVE to help Mommy with the laundry.  Usually she puts things in the washing machine, while I pull everything out.  Such a big help!

I am learning how to brush my teeth.  I love to do it all by myself!

Okay, that's all for now.  Be sure to check back in for more updates during my 11th month!
