Busy Girl!

Now that I can move around so well I am constantly on the move.  Mommy and Daddy struggle to keep up with me!  Here is some of the stuff that has kept me very busy over the past couple of days:

I like to play with all my clothes in my closet.  I open the drawers and take things out, put them back in, take them out, put them in...

"Hmm ... what should I wear?"

I climbed into this little chair while Mommy was cleaning dishes in the kitchen.  I wanted a little snack.  Mommy appreciated the fact that I stayed in one place for a little while so she could finish the dishes!

I love to play duets with Mommy on the piano, but sometimes it is fun to just play a solo piece.

This was the hard part of the song ... I really had to concentrate!

Maggie and I played "chase" with the robot yesterday.  We had fun chasing the robot, then running away from it.  That robot was kind of annoying though, because it kept chasing me after I was done playing that game!

Look Mommy! No Hands!

"Hi!"
I thought I'd post some pictures of what I've been doing the past few days:

Standing!

I have been standing up without holding on to anything for about 15-30 seconds at a time.
Now I just need to take a step and I will be on my way!

Talking on the phone again.
Surprised?

I like to put the Boppy around my tummy just like Mommy...

And then I like to read a book.

I had spaghetti for dinner on Saturday night.
Mommy and Daddy let me feed myself!

I got a little bit messy but it sure was yummy!

11 Months Old!

I am 11 months old today!

I have had a great month.  This month I have played a lot and learned a lot.  I have visited friends, gone to the park, seen a snow flurry, and much more!  It was a cold month, and I actually had to wear a coat for most of it whenever I went outside!  But, in the past week or so, it has really warmed up and we have even gotten to play outside a little bit.  I've even gotten to ride around the neighborhood in my wagon!

Playing:
The theme of this month has definitely been talking on the phone!  I talk on the phone ALL the time.  It doesn't even have to be the phone!  I talk on the remote control, a shoe, a block, my hand, really anything I can hold up to my ear.  I just love to say, "Heh-wo!"  When Daddy calls home after work, I always make Mommy give me the phone so I can talk to him.

Talking:
The words I have been saying this month are:
"HI!"  (Yesterday I was out with Daddy and I yelled out "Hi!" to every person who walked past us!)
"Heh-wo" (If I'm not saying "hi," then chances are I'm saying "heh-wo!")
"Bah-ul" (you know this as a "bottle")
"Mmm-mmm-mm" (Whenever I know I'm going to get some yummy food I start saying this)
"No" (I toyed with "no" for a day after I played with Walker, but really haven't said it other than that one day - I know there will be plenty of time for "No" in the future!)
"Hi" (did I mention I love to say this word ALL the time?)
"Doo-doo!" (see video in post from January 26th)
I still say most of the words that I was saying at 10 months and 9 months, also.

Walking:
I am still not walking yet.  But I am getting closer!  I stand up everywhere.  I don't really need to hold on to anything anymore, but I still do.  I am not too extremely interested in standing and walking.  It's easier just to crawl places, then hold on to something to stand up.  Mommy and Daddy have been working with me on this.  They hold my hands and help me walk all over the place.  BUT...I'm just not ready yet!

Here are some pictures from the park last weekend:

See you next month for a VERY important monthly update!!!

Walker's House

Today I went to visit Walker and his mommy in Covington!  We had a fun day!

"Hello?  Walker?  Can I come over?  Okay, see you in a bit!"

Taking a break from playing to take a picture.

Walker showing me all his toys.

This was my favorite one of all Walker's toys.

We took a nice walk.  Walker helped push my stroller!

Elmo was telling us a riveting story!

I had a lot of fun.  I hope I get to see Walker again soon.  He's a great friend, and I can learn so much from him!

Cute Hair and the Duckie Tub!

Like the new hair-do?  I wore my hair like this to school earlier this week.  It was "Crazy Hair Day" but Mommy said that my hair actually ended up looking cute, not crazy!

I'm a happy girl!

Earlier this week, Daddy was cleaning out the laundry room where my bath duck has been living since I started taking my baths in the big tub.  He was going to put the duck away for future brothers or sisters I might have, but I talked him into letting me play with it for just a little while before saying goodbye.

I know you blow it up like this!  I'm so smart!

And before I go, let me leave you with this video of me not walking...  :)

Fishy food, Fishy Face

Last night I ate some goldfish.  They are so yummy!  I can't believe my mommy has made me wait so long to eat them, but after the cheerio incident(s) she was a little scared that I would choke, I think.  Anyway, I've had them now, and I did great!  No choking!  While eating them I practiced making my fishy face.

Here is a picture of me eating fishies and doing my fishy face impression:

As you can see I loved the goldfish ... heads.  I bit the heads off and saved the tails for Maggie.  Here are my leftovers:

I am including this next picture for two reasons.  1.  You can see my fish tails that I left behind on my food tray, and ...  2.  To share this news with you ... As you can see, I am trying to stick my whole hand in my mouth, and I am screaming in pain.  Why?  Well, there are 2 huge teeth (molars?) growing in up top.  This brings my tooth count to 10!!!  Can you believe it?  I just celebrated my 10 month birthday yesterday, and now I have 10 teeth!
