Road Trip!

Today Mommy and I went to visit Walker and Aunt Nicole!

I got up late this morning (after sleeping for about 11 hours!) and got all dressed up for our visit. Mommy thought I looked cute in my summer outfit, so she took a picture. I was not amused...

Then we got in the car and drove to Covington. It seemed like a long drive, so I went to sleep after about 30 minutes in the car. Finally we got there, and I got to play with Walker. He is fun to watch, and I think he liked playing with me too.

After lunch, play time, a little nap time, and some more play time we decided that we should go swimming.

It was fun, but a little cold so we thought about it and discussed our options...
...(that's us thinking and discussing) and we decided to go ahead and wrap up our swim for today. My first ever swim was fun, though, and I'm glad Walker invited me over so that I could wear my new cute swimsuit that my Daddy picked out for me!

It was a great visit, but unfortunately we had to leave so that we wouldn't get stuck in rush hour traffic. (We were a little late for that ... oops). I was good for most of the ride home, but I do not like when the traffic stops moving, so I decided to scream for about 30 minutes to let everyone on the road know that I was not pleased with their stopping. I'm pretty sure they could hear me. Finally we got home, and I was happy to relax (from my screaming) after a busy and fun day!

Three Months Old!!!

I am three months old today! Can you believe it? I have done so much this month. Let's review:

I did lots of tummy time. (Maggie always likes to participate.)

I played with my new toys.

I sat.

I discovered my hands.

I played some more.

I went to the park.

I rolled.

I made faces.

I played even more (there's a mirror on the other side of that flower).

I talked.

I read.

I wore a tutu.

I learned how to pull the ring to turn on the music on my bouncy seat. (You didn't know about this one yet ... I am sneaky and it took forever for my mommy to catch me on video.)

I napped (sometimes ... but usually my mommy calls me "Baby-No-Nap" because I don't like to fall asleep during the day).

So how do I feel about turning 3 months old? Let me think.....

I love Green Eggs and Ham!

I love to read "Green Eggs and Ham." (Yes, I know you're supposed to underline titles, but I couldn't find the underline button on Blogger.) It is my favorite book. My favorite is when Mommy reads it really fast (that's really the only way I'll let her get through the whole book...hehe).

This is the face I make when he's just about to put the green egg in his mouth. Blech!!

Sometimes Mommy lets me read it to myself. I try to hold the book up and turn the pages, but my hands get tired from all that work.

Mom or Dad?

Busy Weekend

I had a very busy weekend. First, on Friday, I went to visit Daddy's work. There were lots of nice people there, and they all said nice things about me.

I even got my diaper changed right there at the desk. How embarrassing!

Then on Saturday we stayed home in the morning so that the Best Buy Geek Squad could come install our new speakers. This is good news for me, because it means that when I start crawling around (soon) I won't be able to knock over the big huge speakers that used to be in our living room. The new (smaller) speakers are now mounted about 6 feet up on the wall. Yay for safety!

While the nice man was installing speakers, Mommy and I decided to go on a walk. When we stepped out the front door this is what we saw ... a deer just standing in the middle of the street in front of our house! This was the first deer I ever saw! I think it was kind of cute!

After that, I went to Aunt Colleen's graduation/birthday party. Lots of people were there to hold me and say nice things about me again! I worked really hard to be cheerful and cute to entertain everyone. It was tiring, but fun. Then after we left there, my job was not done. We had to go to the neighborhood cookout where I had to be cute and charming all over again while being passed around to all the neighbors. It was SO hot outside, and I sweated a lot while being passed around so much. So when we came home, I took a bath and then I was ready for bedtime. I slept so good ... Friday night and Saturday night I slept for at least 9 hours!

On Sunday, we went to church in the morning. It was my first time in the church nursery. I was there with 3 other kids ... two 3-year-olds and a 1-year-old. I did such a good job, smiling and laughing ... until Miss Gretchen tried to change my diaper. Then, I got really mad at being naked in that strange place, and wouldn't stop crying. So, Miss Gretchen tried to give me the bottle Mommy packed in my diaper bag. Unfortunately, Mommy didn't screw the top on the bottle correctly (she has a history of doing this before :-/) and the bottle poured all over me and Miss Gretchen. Well, at that point I was hungry, wet, and mad, so I was done with this nursery thing. I cried and cried until they paged my Mommy to come get me. Overall, they said I did a great job for my first nursery experience ... maybe I will do even better next Sunday!

I spent the rest of Sunday afternoon just hanging out with my Mommy while Daddy went to help friends move some furniture. I spent a lot of time discovering and studying these really cool things I just found recently. They are convenient because they are always nearby, and sometimes they move. I like to watch them, talk to them, laugh at them, and eat them. I think they are called "hands." Whoever thought of these things was brilliant, I tell you! They are so fascinating!
