The Pink Pig!

On Saturday, Pop, Honey, Aunt Bess, Aunt Colleen, Mommy, Daddy, and I all went to the Pink Pig.  The Pink Pig first started in the early 1950s as a fun ride for children on the roof of the downtown Richs.  Pop went to the Pink Pig when he was a little boy, and Daddy rode on the Pink Pig when he was a little boy.  It has been closed down for years but has been back at Lenox Mall now for a couple years.  It's just a little different.  It used to be a monorail-type ride (so I hear) but now it is a little train.  Here are some pictures from our Pink Pig adventure:

The view of the Pink Pig from the parking lot as we got out of our cars.

It was a little chilly when we first got there in the morning, so I got all bundled up in my stroller.  I wasn't cold at all!

Daddy and I met Priscilla the Pig.  I wasn't sure she could be trusted so I had to keep my eye on her.

I had fun playing with Aunt Bess (and her hair) while we waited in line.

We got inside the tent and only had to wait a little bit longer to get on the ride.

Pop was telling me all about the old Pink Pig.

I started to get a little nervous so Aunt Colleen made me feel better.

Finally it was time to get on the train.  I was scared and sure that I did not like this thing!!!

But, after we started moving I decided it was not so bad, so I sat back and relaxed for the ride.  It was actually so much fun that I cried when they made me get off.

But, good thing they did, because when we walked out of the tent, look who was waiting for us!  The Chick-fil-a Santa Cow!  Again, I was not so sure that he could be trusted.  What is the deal with these big furry animals?

After it was all over, Honey and I discussed the fun that we had.  We decided we should do it again next year!

After eating lunch with the family, Mommy and Daddy took me to Ikea for the first time.  I slept most of the time in my stroller, but it seemed like a fun place.  Mommy and Daddy got me a fun new toy that I got to play with when we got home ... a tunnel!
I like looking through the tunnel to see Mommy on the other end.

Crawling through the tunnel is fun ... good thing I learned how to crawl on my knees so I could get through!

So much fun!

Dancing and Clapping

I LOVE to dance!  (Sorry about my mommy's silly tunes.)

Here are a couple of my other skills.  I can clap my hands and wave!  In this video I am saying "bye" to my Daddy.  I am also clapping for myself in the video.  "Yay for good crawling!"

The legs are finally cooperating!!

I finally really crawled for real (for more than a few feet)!!!

Bath Time Fun (and More)

On Saturday I decided it was time to move out of the duckie tub and into the big girl tub!  It's so much fun!  There is so much room in there to move and play!

I have bath toys, but I mostly love playing with my water scooper and washcloth.  Washcloths are soooo yummy!!!

After I get all clean I like to wash off the bathtub.

"Mommy, don't you have anything better to do?"

Playing with my favorite bath toy.

Tee hee.

Don't I look like I'm having so much fun?
(You can also kinda see all of my 5 teeth in this picture...)

Here are a couple of pictures from play time on Saturday morning:

An almost-split.

See the look of concentration on my face?  It's hard work to pull this buff body up to standing!

8 Months Old!

I am 8 months old today!  Can you believe I'm getting so old?  So much has happened in the last month.  I celebrated my first Halloween, played at the park in the wonderful fall weather, perfected my "army crawl," learned to pull up onto my knees and all they way up to standing, and much much more.  I even got baptized on Sunday.  I have enjoyed my 8th month!

Playing with my awesome airplane.

Pushing my airplane ... learning to walk!

At church last Sunday for my baptism.

Right after my baptism (I got to go up and down the aisle to see all the people).

I voted! ... and I learned how to climb!!!

Okay.  So, really Mommy voted, but I went with her (that counts, right?).

After all the days of crazy lines and everything, we got to the polling place and walked right in without standing in line at all!  Mommy had brought about 12,030,981 toys for me to play with, but I didn't even need any of them!  What a fun time I had going to vote in my first presidential election!

In other news ...

I'm learning to climb!  I pulled myself up in my crib the other morning.  I found out that if I pull myself up, then put my foot on top of the bumper, I can get a little higher ... at least until the bumper starts sliding down.  I can't crawl yet, and I definitely can't stand up or walk by myself, but I can pull myself up and I am sure that I will be attempting to escape from the crib soon!

"Hello!  I see you!"

I thought it would taste like marshmallows... (not so much)
