First Day of School!

Today was my first day at my new school.  My teacher's name is Mrs. Angie, and she is so nice.  She took really good care of me and we had fun playing together.

I went outside and went on a tour around the school.  I even did tummy time and enjoyed playing with the water mat.  I wanted to get that yellow fish out of there, but he didn't want to come and play with me.  When I couldn't get him with my hands, I tried to just put my face down there and eat him, but he still wouldn't let me get him.  I'm going to work on him some more tomorrow!

I had two other friends in my class today, and I really enjoyed playing with them.

It was a great day!!!

Mommy's work, Grammy and Grampa, the Beach, and More!

If you were wondering where I've been and why I haven't posted in a while, you're about to find out what I have been doing that has been keeping me so busy...

Mommy went back to work on Monday.  I was supposed to start school, but Grammy came to keep me for the week instead.  Grampa joined us on Tuesday night, so I got to spend some quality time with them both while Mommy was at work.

Here are some pictures from my busy week:

At the beginning of the week we visited my new school and I tried out some of the new toys in the baby room.

Daddy finally got a picture where you can see my teeth growing in.

I went to the PGA Super Store with Grampa.
And to Garden Ridge with Grammy.

We actually went to a lot of places all over town, and had tons of fun.  Here we are eating lunch at McAllister's Deli.

On Friday when Mommy got home from work we left to go to St. Simon's for a family reunion.   On Saturday we got to go to the beach!  I haven't been to the beach in ages ... since I was 4 weeks old, so I was awake to enjoy it a little more this time.

I liked playing with my feet in the sand.

Mommy and Daddy took me in the ocean.  I almost got swallowed by a wave, but Daddy saved me!

We enjoyed meals out with the family.  Here we are at Brogen's.

And of course we had to take the cousin picture.  Lots of the cousins were missing this time, so Mommy was the oldest.  (They always line up youngest to oldest.)  I got to be on the oldest end since I can't stand up yet. :)

It was a very long car ride, after a very busy week, but we had a fun relaxing day at the beach.

Today we are washing clothes, labeling them for daycare, fixing lunches and bottles, and doing all the other fun stuff to get ready for my first day of school tomorrow.  I'll write more later!

Swimming!

We went swimming at Pop and Honey's house tonight. I had so much fun splashing and playing in the water! Here are some pictures from our fun pool time:

Daddy is silly!

Daddy! Stop splashing Mommy!

Fun in the pool with Colleen (and her nose) :)

Don't I look like I'm having fun?

I could swim all day!

Thanks for letting us swim in your pool, Pop and Honey! I can't wait to go for a swim again real soon!

Trip to Athens!!

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy took me to see their old school in Athens. We had a lot of fun.

First I had to get my stroller ready for the occasion, so Daddy surprised me (and Mommy) and got these cushy strap covers for my already red and black stroller!

When we got to Athens we met Uncle Thomas for lunch at the Broad Street Bar and Grill. I hear the food was yummy.

Daddy was excited to show me the countdown until kickoff. There were 34 days left. I can't wait to put on my new UGA outfit (of course I had to get one while we were in Athens!) and cheer for the dawgs when football season starts (that is if I even knew what football was...)!

Daddy even showed me where they play football. He told me about this guy named Knowshon and some other guys too. Apparently they are pretty good at this football thing.

Then we went to visit Austin at Helix, where he works. When Mommy and Daddy weren't looking Austin put this funny hat on me! Aren't I cute though?

Well, they thought the hat was so cute on me that they decided to try it on Jet. He didn't seem to be amused.

Then, Uncle Thomas, Mommy, Daddy, and Jet walked around downtown. I got to ride. It was SOOOO hot outside but we didn't let that stop us. We walked all over campus. Mommy and Daddy showed me downtown Athens, the Arch, the chapel, the Terry College of Business (Daddy's school), the bookstore, and much more!

After walking around so much we were all hot and needed a break from the heat. So, we went to visit Jesse and his mommy and daddy. It was his mommy's birthday, so she was nice to let us visit on her special day. Jesse showed me how to play with his big boy toys. He's almost one year old, you know. I can't believe I will be big like him soon and walking around! We had a lot of fun together.

It was a busy day, so we decided to go home around dinner time. We were all so tired after our trip, but we all had SO much fun.

And guess what! The next day I didn't cry the entire hour during church, and they didn't even have to page Mommy to come get me!!! I keep saying it, but I'll say it again ... I am really growing up fast!!!

Breaking News!!!

It's a TOOTH!!!

Mommy spotted it this afternoon. It's coming in on the bottom front, on my left (your right). Right now it just looks like a clear little bubble, but there's definitely going to be a tooth there in the next few days!

Of course you know Mommy tried to take a picture, but of course you also know that I tried to steal the camera and eat it, so she'll have to try again later. All the pictures she got were blurry because the camera was moving as I grabbed it. Just for fun, here's one of the pictures she took. You'll have to just pretend you can see it until she can get a picture that is actually in focus.

Yay for teeth!!!

Last Night

Many of you may not know this, but for the first 132 days (4.5 months) of my life I have been swaddled every single night to help me sleep through the night.

Honey and Pop gave me a special swaddle blanket before I was even born called the Snug 'n Tug and it is the best swaddle blanket ever. If you're going to have a baby any time soon, I suggest that you go to their website (www.snugandtug.com) and buy one (or two - I have one for when I was a teeny tiny baby, and one that fits me now).

And it has worked. I have been sleeping through the night since I was 2 weeks old. But, since I've been getting older and more mature, I decided that last night I should try to sleep without the swaddle. Mommy was prepared to wake up every 30-45 minutes with the hopes that after one rough night, it would be better the next night. But, I like to surprise my mommy, so I went to sleep (after a few lullabies and a good rocking from Daddy) and slept ALL night long without my swaddle! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me. I guess I really am getting to be a big girl! Go me!!!

Family Fun!

This is what Mommy, Daddy, and I do in our free time. I bet you didn't know we were so talented!
