Katie-isms

My friend, Walker's mom wrote a post on her blog about funny and cute conversations they've had. My mommy said that was a good idea, so here are some things we've talked about recently:

Introducing my pet rock to Mommy:

Katie: Mommy, look! It's my Rocky.
Mommy: Well, hi Rocky. It's nice to meet you. You're so cute!
Katie: No, Mommy. Silly! Rocky not so cute. I so cute!

This is not really a conversation, but more of my crazy routine every night at bedtime:

Routine:
  • Take a bath, brush teeth and hair, put on pajamas
  • Watch "CattheHat"
  • Read 3-5 stories in the chair with Mommy, say prayers (list everything and everyone I can think of)
  • Get in bed (get 20-25 goodnight kisses and hugs) and listen to T.J. Bearytales
  • Get out of bed about 3 minutes after Mommy leaves and run to door, open it, yell out, "WATERBANDAIDCUPPLEASEGOODBYE," slam door, run back to bed
  • Wait
  • Mommy brings water cup, more kisses and hugs, "Love you MUCH," Mommy leaves
  • Get out of bed a few minutes later and yell out, "WATER GONE! DROP CUP?" Mommy yells up, "Yes, you can drop the cup on the floor outside your door."
  • Then, I say, "Ok, thanks," drop cup, yell, "BANDAIDPLEASE!"
  • Run back to bed
  • Wait for Mommy.
  • She brings up a bandaid, then I tell her where it needs to be placed (one night this week, it was on the bottom of my foot ... did you know that bandaids don't really stick that well to the bottom of your foot?!)
  • 5 more "goodnights" and hugs/kisses, and finally I'm ready to go to sleep!
  • PHEW!

Another routine:
Every night at dinner (usually when Daddy's out of town):

Mommy and Katie: God is great, God is good, let us thank him for our food. Amen!
Katie: No, wait! And thank you milk. Amen.
Katie: No wait! And thank you Mommy's drink. Amen.
Katie: No wait! And thank you green beans, chicken (points to and names every food on her plate), thank you napkin, thank you poon (spoon), thank you ... umm, umm, (looking for something that has not been mentioned) ... that's all. Amen!
Mommy: Amen!

Getting my thermometer out of the drawer:

Katie: Mommy! I sick! Please take temperature(actually some word that sounds kind of like tempeh-peh-tu).
Mommy: You're sick? Oh, no! Well, I guess we can't go to Soccer today.
Katie: Yes, I DO sick. I feel sick. I get my (tempeh-peh-tu).
Mommy: Okay, let's take your temperature and see if you have a fever. (Takes temperature.) Nope, you're fine. Not sick at all!
Katie: I NOT sick. Thanks, Mommy!

Playing with the plastic food:

Katie: What's this? (holds up a pear)
Mommy: That's a pear.
Katie: No, that's not a pear. That's apple. What's this? (holds up an eggplant)
Mommy: That's an eggplant.
Katie. No, that's not eggplant. That's pickle.
Mommy: No, this is a pickle. It's green. (Mommy holds up the pickle.)
Katie: No, that's not pickle. What's this? (holds up mushroom)
Mommy: That's a mushroom.
Katie: No, that's not mushroom. That's pickle. What's this?
Mommy: That's a banana.
Katie: Yes! That's bo-nee-na!

Mommy and I love to say this ALL the time:

Mommy: Guess what!
Katie: What?
Mommy: I love you MUCH!
Katie: Awww! Love you much, too! Guess what, Mommy!
Mommy: What?
Katie: Princess Katie.
Mommy: Awwww! (This goes on for about 20 more times. We both say the same thing each time.)

Soccer!

I love SoccerTots! I have been to Soccer twice now. It is so much fun.

The coach told us to sit on our color spots. I am waiting for everyone else to get to their spots!

Running around the room, dribbling the ball.

Listening to directions on my spot.

Kicking over the cones.

Ready to play the noodle game.

Kicking the ball to Daddy.

We get stamps at the end of practice. I LOVE stamps!

Another Great Weekend!

I had another fun weekend. On Saturday morning, we got up early, ate breakfast, then went to the Egg Hunt at the park. There were a ma-zillion people there and we didn't really hunt for eggs ... we just picked them up.

After I found a bunch of eggs, I went to ride a pony! His name was Butterfinger. It was fun ... until I starting yelling, "OFF!"

Since the Egg Hunt was at the park, I got to play on the playground after it was all over.

Later in the day, we went to the Marietta Square. I played on the choo-choo train.

Then, Sunday we went to church and ate lunch with some of Mommy and Daddy's Sunday School friends. When we came home I was supposed to take a nap, but I couldn't sleep because I was SO excited. I was going to Honey and Pop's house after nap, and I just wanted to GO! Finally after about an hour and a half (of not sleeping) I came to my bedroom door and told Mommy, "I wake up now." She said that I could get ready. Soon we left so I could play with Honey and Pop. Then, later Honey and Pop brought me home and we all ate pizza for dinner.

What a fun weekend!

Super Saturday!

Saturday was a super fun day. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! We worked on an art project in the morning, then went out to Touch-a-Truck in Kennesaw, in the afternoon.

Our art project was super fun. I got to play with paint! Mommy and I painted some art to hang on the walls in my new "geen woom." I helped with every picture. We made butterflies using my handprints, stamped flowers on the pictures, and had lots of fun together.

Then we went to "Touch-a-Truck."
It was so nice outside!

I always like to see the school bus in the afternoons when it comes through my neighborhood, and on Saturday I actually got to get on a school bus!!!

I also got to pretend to drive a mail truck, play on a fire truck, sit on a pink bulldozer, and much more!

I hope your Saturday was as wonderful as mine!
